'cus I'm random like that.


Just a super duper random post..cus my life is soooooo interesting. Lol.
 

A random thought popped into my head while I was omw home on bus
27 after mugging at the airport.


"Must couples have common interest(s)?"


I mean, that's what they say..right? Common love for food,
music, fashion, blah blah.
 

But it's not true for my case. SO NOT TRUE. Lol. Weichong and I
have really different interests. Trust me. By different, I mean
VASTLY different (if you even count mine as 'interests' HAHA).
 

For instance, kpop. I'm a super enthu crazy fangirl who loves
everything kpop. But wc shows -100000000% interest when
it comes to ♥SHINee♥ and only a pathetic 0.00001% interest when
it comes to CN Blue and Seohyun (because I forced him to watch We
Got Married =x). Sometimes, he likes to think that he's Jung Yong Hwa.
 

In terms of sports, he's really good at any type of sports while I'm
really good at procrastinating going to the gym. LOL!
 

I LOVEEEE TO READ (non-textbook-lecture notes-related)!!
Give me any Jodi Picoult book and you won't be able to get it
off me for hours! I've tried 'persuading' him to get into it but
reading is just not for him. Hence, no common interest when
it comes to books :(


Unlike him, I'm hooked onto TV shows (you'll be shocked at how
much time I spend on watching them =x). Gossip girl, HIMYM, Big
Bang Theory, Vampire Diaries and the list goes on and on and on.
The sad thing is that I can't talk to him about all my favourite
shows because he doesn't watch ANY of those shows :(


Same thing applies to YouTube videos. Oh.My.Goodness.Gracious.
You have NO idea how obsessed I am when it comes to YouTube.
The number of channels that I'm subscribed to is..crazy. Geez.


(Now you know why my grades are like this. Lol. Never EVER
follow in my footsteps.)


As for food, I'm a major food junkie (I eat everything, anytime,
anywhere). On the other hand, he's really disciplined when it
comes to eating. He won't overeat, for eg, when he's full, he
won't force himself to eat, even if it's his favorite food in the world.
PLUS I swear he's the only human being in the world who doesn't
have any craving..EVER!!! :(( (his only weakness is shrimp-roll!
You know those spicy thinggies that we eat during cny?) This
explains the difference in our size T.T
 

Also, as explained above, I'm a huge kpop addict so we have
ZERO common interest in terms of music.
 

Lol. What else is left? Anyway so now u see..it's possible for
couples to have zero common interest! =x

SHINee WORLD CONCERT 2011

Warning: The following post contains excessive spazzing which might not be appropriate for some (or most) readers. Do note that this is written by a very passionate fangirl.

Read at your own risk.

10th Sept 2011.

EVERY SINGLE SECOND of the concert was filled with pure awesomeness and I wanna relieve those memories over and over again..

It all started from..

It was my cousin's wedding day so we set off to their house in the morning for the tea ceremony. Congrats to Jonathan and Cherlene! (:

Met up with padpad, serena, limmy and her friend and headed down to Singapore Indoor stadium at 4pm. We even bought food just in case we got hungry while queuing because the concert only starts at 6pm. Anyway, they were giving out free bubbletea at the entrance of the stadium when we reached, the only good thing of reaching late ;p love the welfare though!

FREEEE BUBBLETEA! <3 Check out my aqua SHINee WORLD tee :) and limmy's too! We're hardcore Shawols ;p Anyway we were all geared in super comfy outfits for the concert!

We finally found the entrance to the moshpit queue after wandering about for quite some time and waited in a temporary queue, after which we were 'transported' to the actual queue and OMG the queue was 384960586048 times longer than the temp queue we were in before x.x

It was finally time to enter and my heart started beating a lot faster as soon as I stepped inside, I mean, IT'S SHINee!! I couldn't contain my excitement and went into a mild fangirl mode, together with limmy- padpad and serena were surprisingly calm! =x

Sorry but this was the best that my camera could capture =x
Plus security was really strict about taking photos. There were some girls who were dragged away by the guards because they were caught using their cameras despite being warned several times.

And the moment that everyone was waiting for finally came..the lights were dimmed and the cheers from the fans filled the stadium while their lightsticks formed a gorgeous aqua sea.

There was a short intro video and when 'The SHINee World' started playing, the crowd went wild, especially when the members jumped out from the stage, literally. Taemin was the one closest to the moshpit so when he jumped out, I was in a state of disbelief for that moment because he was THAT close to us.

Oh..Taemin, you're every noona's fantasy ♥

I'm gonna sound like a perverted noona saying this but I love what Taemin's stylist did to Taemin. Major fanservice to all Taemin fans.

I swear he kills me everytime because he is so friggin' HOT!
He just oozes of pure sexiness, especially his deep voice when he raps..
Btw, taemin looks daaaamn cute in the bckgrd *kyeoptta*

It was then followed by 'Senorita' and it had this particular provocative move (as shown in photo) which apparently made all the females in the crowd scream, including me =x

Taemin only just turned 18 this year..

After which they sang 'Get Down', where Minho and Key were rapping and a rock version of 'Amigo' which involved a lot of head banging.

The head bangers..? But still hot as hell ;p

And halfway during 'Juliette', sparks were flying off Jonghyun, literally!

It was then followed by less upbeat songs like 'Hello', 'Your Name' and 'Stand By Me'- the song from BOF AND I LOVE ALL OF THEM ♥ They then went on to a more upbeat song 'Love Still Goes On' and omgggg MINHO'S RAP WAS SO DAMN AWESOME!! And I love the chorus! :))

Anyway I'm just gonna post photos of Minho just because I feel like it ;p

I swear the moment Taemin started singing his solo 'Romeo and Juliette', I went into this pure hysterical mode: I CAN'T BELIEVE HE'S SINGING MY FAV SONG! I was grabbing onto padpad and shouting (otherwise she won't be able to hear me) "OMGGG I LOVE THIS SONGGGG!!!!" If you're reading this, I'm sorry padpad =x

I couldn't find any pictures of him during his solo so here's a video! He has improved soooo much vocally- the video doesn't do his voice justice, it sounded so much better live! And have I mentioned how awesome of a dancer is he? Oh and btw I love how everyone was chanting 'Lee TaeMin' during his dance break!

For Jonghyun's solo, he sang a ballad called 'This Woman's Work' in which he sang both the female and male parts. And his voice was so beautiful that it gave me goosebumps..

THE LONG AWAITED MINHO'S SOLO! OMGGGG I'VE SEEN THIS PERFORMANCE IN SO MANY VIDEOS AND WHEN I FINALLY GOT TO WATCH IT LIVE, I.WENT.CRAZY.

I know this video isn't exactly the best- the person who filmed the previous fancams managed to film ALL the performances except THIS :((

I was in such a major fangirl mode and I could not stop screaming. I bet 20% of the screaming from the video came from me, lol.

I believe that everyone has at least one go-to song and this is mine (and Gary Cao's 情人节快乐 lol alright feel free to laugh at me haha). Have been listening to this song for 2 years already and I'm loving it more and more each time I listen to it..

Anyway I'm gonna be a responsible blog owner and update this space..soon! Hopefully I'll do so by next week cus it's recess week and I have sooooo much to blog about!!! (but i have 4 lab reports to submit + 5 mid terms to study for..sigh!)

Blabber blabber blabber

It's 3:33am right now and I'm supposed to be asleep =x but I've decided to write a short post since I haven't done one in like, forever ;p

Just reached home from RAG/NDP with the MSE barbossa peeps- had an awesome time btw :) and omggggggg I SWEAR the firework display was sooooo gorgeous! :) With the fireworks right in front of us (no need to strain our necks and all), the view from the Promontory was just perfect! It was simply breathtaking and awesome that I kept ooh-ing and ahh-ing throughout! The best firework display in sg that I've seen in a loooooong time :) supper thereafter was filled with nonsense, coming from all the crazy nonsensical people as expected ;p heh!

Last Saturday was my dearest gypsy's 21st party and we had a blast! :D am glad that the long afternoon preparation paid off and everyone had a really awesome time! The night was spent playing games that made us all laugh so hard (though some of them, even the *ahem* bday girl *ahem* fell asleep halfway) and yes, I still suck at playing bridge. Lol. Stayed awake throughout to catch the sunrise and boy, was it worthwhile :) Brunch at Changi V and home sweet home after that! :)

My turn next, sigh =x better start planning soon!

School is starting on Thursday (technically, tomorrow) AND I'M NOT LOOKING FWD TO IT AT ALL. The start of a mundane routine: lecture -> tutorial -> lab report -> viva. Am stepping down from the exco soon too, sooooo- time to fully focus on studies! Looking forward to seeing the new exco though ;)

Everybody was kungfu fighting

That was us with, errm..Kungfu panda? (lol I don't even know its name!)

Major booo at my terribly failed attempt at inserting a relevant picture to start off the post. ANYWAY..Yes!! KUNGFU PANDA 2 is coming out this week and I CAN'T WAIT! I don't care if I sound like a 5 yrs old kid but I really enjoyed the first movie and hopefully the sequel will be as good, or even better..but honestly, most sequels are disappointing :( definitely bringing my sister to watch though!

Accepted a job with wc which lasted for 5 days (and i totally regretted taking it up) and it only involves planting urself at hotel lobbies while ushering non-existent hotel guests (ok maybe I'm exaggerating..but the turn up was really pathetic lol) up shuttle buses which took them to suntec. Since suntec was only a 5-10 min walk from their hotels, many of them made the choice to walk there instead and that explains the redundant shuttle buses lol.

The only (relatively) fun part (compared to what we were doing all along) was on Wednesday night when we headed down to Sentosa.

And this was what we did! Kinda. But it turned out to be a complete failure because it was against the law to release things/stuffs into the air. Hence as an alternative, they decided that tying the lanterns down to the ground would be a good idea. Well, apparently not. While the lanterns were trying to fly/float/rise/whatever, the strings got tangled together and you can pretty much imagine what happened next hahaha. Only a fortunate few managed to escape but they still met their unfortunate end when they burned out.

Despite feeling extremely worn out after work, I met up with the girls and it was a really bad choice because I only caught an hr of sleep at Sher's place and that made me feel like a zombie during work the next morning. Anyway what happened on that night shall remain unspeakable..

As for now, I just started work at Tangs Orchard today (come visit hahaha) and it was really boring and excruciating because I had to stand all the way..and this is gna carry on for approximately 3 weeks (rahhhhh) before the trip with my family- can't wait! :) Mummy's already digging out all of our coats in preparation for the trip, excited much! Hopefully the weather over there will be kind to us!

CAN'T WAIT TO ESCAPE FROM THIS TINY OVENLIKE ISLAND!

ABRUPT DIGRESSION:

This (me buying a book) is actually really rare because I would rather borrow books from the library (but often leading to me paying overdue fines opps). But because I only had to pay $9 (used a gift card that WC gave me ages ago, thanks love!), I decided to get it. Was deciding between this or Mini Shopaholic but I ended up with this because it was cheaper LOL!

Another abrupt digression:

OMGGGG THIS IS REALLY RANDOM BUT I JUST REALISED THAT RESULTS ARE COMING OUT IN 6 MORE DAYS AND I REALLY DON'T WANNA FIND OUT (how badly) I DID :((

Mr Nobody

After 2 extremely grueling weeks, it's finally my turn to say this:

I'M FREEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Not gonna be a nag and bore you guys with my rants, so YAY :))

But firstly, I have a teeny-weeny (sorta) confession to make =x

Well, I kinda did smthg that was exam suicidal. On the night before my last paper, I took a break from mugging and watched Thriller Live at MBS with Weichong. I know anyone who reads this will think that I'm crazy (I mean, who on earth would watch a concert on the night right before their last paper) but the tickets were complimentary and WE COULDN'T MISS IT! I was constantly assuring wc that I'll mug super hard before that (which I did, from 9-6 at T3's Coffeebean and that was when I met the random hot angmoh guy LOL) and the mugging was so worthwhile because IT WAS AWESOME! Pity I didn't know all of MJ's songs because they performed a lot of his songs! But overall it was really an experience that I would not regret (though I'm super guilty for slacking the night away when I was supposed to be mugging).

Anyhowsss, Hooray to the King of Pop! :))

ABRUPT END.

My brother has been bugging me to watch this movie Mr Nobody since even before my exams started and so a few days ago, I finally took some time off and watched it. And (as cliche as it may sound), it blew my mind away.

This was nothing like any movie that I've watched. I'm really impressed by the fact that the entire concept of the movie was based on one extremely simple concept, yet they made it a film that was seemingly perplexing.

For a normal film, it's either you know what's happening from the start or the storyline unfolds itself throughout the movie. BUT what makes Mr Nobody different from other films is that you will only know what's happening right when the movie is about to end. The fact that the realization hits you right in the face at the very end- that is what makes it incredibly unique. Throughout the film, I was feeling totally baffled by what was happening and kept on thinking to myself: wth is going on, am I stupid or what? But I got assured by my brother who told me that it was normal to think that way.

One huge factor which made the show even more amazing than it already was, is the cinematography. The entire film was so incredibly beautiful to watch and there were some scenes that were just breathtaking. It was a complete contrast from all the blockbuster films that I've watched thus far and it was a good one. Honestly, there are too many films out there with all the action, graphics and 3D, ie, 'blockbuster ingredients' and it was time to take a break from all those. I have huge respect for the director/writer and the entire movie crew for making Mr Nobody such a great and memorable film without the use of typical 'blockbuster ingredients' because at times, they are overrated. No offense to all blockbuster films lovers out there- I'm guilty of watching them myself =x

And the music was equally beautiful. Enough said.

Due to the fact that my vacation internship application to DSI got rejected, I'll be entirely free for my 3-month long break. Dk whether to be :) because I'll be free to do whatever non-mugging related things that I want or :( because I got freaking rejected by DSI, i mean who on earth gets rejected for an internship?! So that's one less thing to include in my transcript :(

So in order to make full use of the long break (and also to distract myself from the fact that I got rejected lol), I came up with a to-do list (which I'm hoping to clear as many as possible)(not in order of importance)!

1) Get my driver's license! (cus my mom told me to do so lol)
2) LEARN KOREAN, complete beginners at least (in prep of my SEP to Korea ♥)
3) ATTEND KOREAN MUSIC WAVE 2011 - 15 JULY! But the ticket sale starts in end April which will clash with my exams and idk what to do :((
3) Repaint my house!
4) Decorate my room (after #3 is completed)
5) Go overseas at least once (plsplsplspls let this be true!)
6) Get a holiday job
7) Diving trip with WC!
8) Start on Vampire Diaries
9) Read Mini Shopaholic, The Lost Symbol, House Rules, Last Night At Chateau Marmont, Time Traveler's Wife, Sing You Home and Safe Haven
10) Pick up smthg new, like..erm..yoga (lol)? dancing (major LOL)?
11) Volunteer for smthg/somewhere! :))

I guess all these should be enough to fill up my break, more than enough in fact! Not forgetting the mandatory holiday-to-dos: meet ups and SHOPPING! Sooooooo deprived of shopping, it's killing me! :(( and nope I don't even shop online, sad huh?

XRD IS KILLING ME

Worst lab report EVER. The concepts seemed like Greek to me so all the while I've been trying to comprehend a totally new language by reading and writing in it.

Just kill me already.

Step by step, 1 2 3

Just had a wonderful supper with three of my awesome girlfriends. We were actually on our way home when someone (was it jas or sher?) suggested supper and the next moment, we were on our way to our supper destination in sherlin's car. I just love random/spontaneous get-togethers like this, no? Sometimes I feel that if something is too 'planned' or 'organized', it might turn out to be not as enjoyable. Take your life as an example. Though leading a 'planned' lifestyle might be the safest, I feel that we should be more spontaneous at times. Don't you agree?

Anyhows.

Before supper, we attended Jon Lim's 21st at his place- thanks wobbly for the invite! :) Anyway, there are TOO MANY March and April babies! (Not that I'm complaining or anything, I love all of my friends :D) I celebrated two 21st for the past 2 consecutive weekends so today was the third and there's gonna be another one next weekend! Gawd..that'll make 4 celebrations in 4 weeks! >.<

Alright, back to my XRD lab report. But, but..XRD makes me wanna cry T.T

Tonight.

I wanna read all these so badly right now, soooo soooo badly :(
Any kind soul out there who's willing to sponsor me LOL? =x

The only reason why I watched No Strings Attached- Natalie Portman. Was interested to see how her performance would be like in a rom-com, especially after watching her in such a dark and intense show. However, I was quite disappointed with the movie because the storyline was just-there. The plot was predictable, with injections of humour here and there. But it was still worth watching because of Natalie Portman because she's just soooooo sweet!

The King's Speech is definitely a must watch- totally oscar-deserving! Not sure whether it is still showing though. (Okay I admit that I only watched it because it won Best Picture at the Academy Awards.) When it was released, I didn't think much of it because it was a British film and British films usually involve a massive load of talking hence they don't appeal to me. However, this film totally changed my perception of British films. There was no doubt, a lot of talking, but surprisingly, it didn't bore me a single bit. I mean, when I first read what the movie was about, I thought to myself, how on earth can someone center an entire film around an issue like stuttering and make it interesting? The director, together with the scriptwriter and the crew, made it possible. Colin Firth's acting was totally convincing - I know this is gonna make me sound really stupid because I can't think of any other way to describe how I feel in words - to the extent that I was feeling really sorry for him as though he was a person whom I know IRL - he totally deserved best actor.

Anyway just another boring post to prove to whoever's reading this that I'm still alive. I just realized that it has been one month since my last entry. Definitely not gonna be an interesting post because I doubt my brain's capability to churn out anything that will make sense, much less interesting, at this hour. Leave while you can; don't say you haven't been warned.

Can't remember when we attended this. Anyway we had no idea why we were even there in the first place because we were nobody compared to the rest. Lol @ Kayla who said that this looked like some star award photo.

Celebrated Anitha's 21st and TJ's 23rd at barrage! :) But the weather decided to be a spoilsport and ruin our kite-flying and outdoor picnic plans. In the end, we had our picnic on the hard, concrete ground indoors. It was definitely the worst zhong ji mi ma game ever for me and baka with the forfeit being having to finish the leftovers- we lost like 4 times in total and the amount of food that we had to eat was..crazy. Also, we played a record-breaking monopoly deal game- 45mins long. Beat that lol.

My half-korean niece turns 9! Featuring the chocolate moouse cake which was really rich and chocolate-ish.

Don't y'all think that TOP is the most gorgeous asian guy ever- to me he is! It took me some time getting used to his new hair colour (which I think looks awesome on him now!) because he used to look sooooo good in dark hair (refer to top right picture) - SEXINESS OVERLOAD!

Although GD, TOP and Taeyang are the more 'popular' ones in Big Bang, I still have this thing for Seung Ri because he is just so good looking! I mean, JUST LOOK AT HIM! Once a maknae (youngest of the group) but now he's all grown up! How can someone with 4 white ruffled-flowers sticking on his chest still look so hot?!

OK END OF RAMBLING. This fangirl here gotta catch some sleep and hopefully dream of either Big Bang or SHINee or both.

Black Swan

I'm not gonna post the movie poster here because it creeps me out like crazy whenever I look at it. Or even when I just think about it. So I'm actually being damn brave to talk about the show here T.T

Black Swan isn't 'my' typical kinda movie but I decided to watch it because of the awesome reviews. Prior to watching the show, I had totally NO idea that it was gna be a thriller: a psychological thriller at that. For those who know me well enough, I avoid any horror/thriller films just because I'll get super paranoid for weeks/months (sometimes even years- i'm not kidding) after the show.

I was expecting the show to be dark (BLACK Swan, duh) but I didn't expect it to be THAT dark. Quoting from WC, the show was 'intense' and it was 'intense' enough to have me grabbing onto his arm and covering my eyes most of the time. There was never a single moment that I could actually 'take a break to stop and breathe', I mean I could feel my heart pounding hard throughout because I could never guess what was gonna happen next. It was M18 so some of the scenes were really disturbing, even more to me. Plus the sound system made it all so surreal, in a creepy way.

A word of advice to any Swan Lake fans reading this: if you do not want to spoil the beautiful image of Swan Lake that you have in your mind, DO NOT WATCH THIS. Seriously. Although I haven't watched Swan Lake bef0re, I always picture it as serene and pure. There was this song that I used to like in Swan Lake (the most famous one but idk the name) but after watching the show, I don't even dare to listen to it anymore because it reminds me of the movie (like I said, I'm get paranoid super easily).

To me, it would be a really awesome show if all the creepiness (sorry for the bluntness but idk how else to describe it) could stay in the show and not linger around in my mind. Natalie Portman's acting was awesome (sorry for blunt language again) and I think she's awesome (sorry for excessive use of the word 'awesome') for being able to pull off such a role.

For those who enjoy thrillers, I would recommend you guys to catch it. For feeble-minded people like me, I would seriously recommend you to think twice, no, thrice before watching. Even though it had received so many great reviews, had I known earlier that it was a thriller, I would definitely not watch it if given a choice. Yes I'm that 'hum'. Ok this is gonna sound really stupid but the night after watching the show (I feel slightly creeped out typing its name), I only managed to sleep at about 5am when I went to bed at 3am.

This is the reason why I can't take any horror/thriller films.

Season of the witch
Starting and middle was not bad, enjoyed the suspense. But ending was just, bleah. I mean, it felt like a RPG game to me when they were slaying the demon and stuff. Weird.

It's a great, great world
Watched it with my family and i must say it was quite an enjoyable movie :) the 4 sub-stories were kinda cliche but it'll be a great movie to catch with your family. (P.s Olivia Ong's chinese- cmi. Lol.) Btw my papa was feeling super nostalgic after watching the show.

Burlesque
LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT! Cliche and predictable plot BUT I LIKE :D Christina Aguilera and Cher's singing- AWESOME. And Christina looks so pretty with bangs and straight hair! :) But for musical-ish kinda movies (?), Moulin Rouge is still the best (after Phantom of the Opera of course)!

Shaolin
Two words: AWESOME and MUST-WATCH. Only downside: it was a tad too gory for me (i kept complaining to wc that it should be rated NC16 instead, srsly) with all the killing and blood, i mean, there were kids watching the show too! Hated Nicholas Tse throughout the show because he was the baddest of all the badasses in the world wide world. Lol @ my powderful engrish.

Can't wait to watch BLACK SWAN (omgomgomg SRSLY CAN'T WAIT), No Strings Attached and Just Go With It (♥ Jennifer Aniston)!

It's 2.30am now and I'm still wide awake. Shall do a little blogging to revive this blog though i highly doubt anybody reads this space anymore. Blogs are becoming non-existent due to the advent of Facebook.

Warning: This post is gonna consist of random updates so pardon me if it sounds incoherent.

Exams are O..V..E..R but well, i'm not gonna talk about it because of obvious reasons.

Attended this networking session at Helipad last Friday with the exco but i'm just gonna post ONE photo here. As usual, the rest will be up on facebook.

We've been planning for this "big" MSE event (for quite some time) which will be happening this Friday. I reaaaaaaaalllly hope that it'll be a success and that our efforts will not go to naught :) go MSESIG!

Today, i caught Easy A with WC, the third movie that i've watched after exams ended: first was Harry Potter [though there wasn't much action (but that would guarantee an action-packed second part), i'm glad that it wasn't as rushed compared to the previous movies. well lol but that's probably because they made 2 movies?] and second, Rapunzel (major loooooooove!! go watch if you haven't done so!!). I guess it's somewhat like your typical chick flick but not as typical? Freak that doesn't even make sense. Lol. Anyway, Penn Badgley is starring in that show too, so..GG fans GO WATCH!! =x

Made a pact with my mummy and sister to play badminton with them tmr (or today) morning, hopefully i can wake up in time though! Random: BADMINTON IS ADDICTIVE! Actually i kinda injured my wrist from the previous session but imma play anyway.

Hope y'all will appreciate my effort to update this lifeless space! Will try to update more often since it's the holidays now! :)

EXAMWOES

It is proven that mugging for exams doesn't promote healthy living, both physically and mentally. Well, for me at least.

1) Late-night mugging results in late-night snacking to keep me awake.

2) It also results in me sleeping at ungodly hours.

3) Eating at irregular timing.

4) NO exercise.

5) Stress leads to: SUPER CUI complexion (i swear it's really beyond bad) & attempts to destress through spamming of chocolates and other calorie-loaded stuff.

6) Shocking weight gain :(((( *major dislike* i thought ppl are supposed to lose weight during exams period!

7) Susceptible to anti-social syndrome (10am-9pm in the library without talking to anyone).

8) Mood swings! *dislike dislike*

9) Strained r/s with boyf cus of my constant complaints thru SMS and thus flooding his inbox (lol I'm kidding abt the part on strained r/s).

I can't believe i have to go thru ALL THESE **** twice every year (4 times if you include mid terms).

SEP Dilemma

Yes I'm in a SEP dilemma, as the title suggests.

Initially, I had high hopes of going to either Korea University or Seoul National University because it seems to me that Korea ain't that popular a choice for SEP among the MSE people (US and UK are hotstuff). But I guess I was too engrossed in reading through the course information that I neglected the most important piece of information.

"All/most courses are taught in the Korean language."

PWNED.

Yes. I got PWNED.

How am I supposed to learn an entirely new language within a year? "Minho, saranghaeyo" doesn't count. Anyway I doubt it is within my capability to make it through an entire semester of lessons taught in Korean, engineering modules especially. Trying to understand the lecturer- PWNED. Trying to learn all the technical nitty gritty terms in Korean- DOUBLE PWNED.

I'm not really interested in asian countries for SEP but Korea's an exception because..i'm sure you know why. Like I mentioned, US and UK are hotstuff and by that I mean REALLY hotstuff. Currently, there are only about 6 or 7 places (US and UK combined) offered to MSE students and judging from those applying, the average CAP required is between 4.0 to 4.5. Fyi, allocation is purely CAP based.

SIGH LIKE THAT HOW TO FIGHT? :((

Countries like Finland, Germany, Norway, France are also out for me cus of the language issue, like Korea.

I'm gna try to request for several Australia/NZ universities. Hopefully they'll approve my request and that there won't be people fighting with me for them :((

I'm really hoping that I would be able to get into the uni of my choice. I want my SEP experience to be the best memory of my university life..

IMO THIS IS THE BEST SONG BY SHINEE TO DATE! I've listened to all their songs from their albums and THIS IS SRSLY THE BESTEST (heck with the grammar error) of the lot! It is really unlike any songs that I've listened to, from their albums or anywhere else.

The starting part when my Minho ♥ 민호 was rapping with his manly voice followed by Taemin singing with his high-pitched voice was particularly sensational.

The sky is the limit

And that was from Keith, one of the best romance movie ever which I just watched. At first glance, it might seem like your usual teen romance flick but it isn't. Also, I wasn't expecting much from Jesse McCartney (used to have a major crush on him though) but he turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

The fact that Keith can actually be on par with MY favourite romance movie of all times, A Walk To Remember, says a lot. But that will be still be my no. 1.

The storyline is really simple, with believable everyday characters, yet the fact that the impact it could have on you is tremendous shows that it is a great film. It makes you think about life, not necessarily in the light of Natelie and Keith, but your own.

Trust me on this. This will be one film that you would never regret watching.

P.S. If you have any intentions on watching this, I'm strongly discouraging you from watching the trailer beforehand as it contains major spoilers.

The Worst Day Ever

After my tuition ended, I took bus 34 (it came immediately just after I reached the bus stop. Well, that was about the only good thing that happened to me today) to Ikea because my family was there.

But due to the fact that I was too engrossed with my phone, I missed my stop and my bus happily went on the highway to Punggol. CAN U IMAGINE? I was on my way to ikea but I ended up in freaking Punggol! No offence to any Punggolians reading this!

Just as I was crossing over to the opposite side to take 34 back to Ikea, a bus 34 freaking zoomed past. SUAY-NESS TTM! At that moment, my mom told me that they'll be leaving Ikea so there's no need for me to go over anymore.

WHAT THE...i specially took 34 to ikea (just to end up in punggol) and now they're telling me that.

Ok, chill. Right then, I believed that my day won't get any worse than that already but I WAS WRONG.

I needed to photocopy some stuff and so I took bus 3 to pasir ris and changed to 53 before reaching my destination. Well, I spent about half an hour searching for a particular shop which was actually damn near the bus stop (which I had a hard time finding my way back to) but I was walking in circles!

Just as I was approaching my bus stop, I missed 81, one of the two buses that I could take. So I thought I had some time to buy some food/drink because i was feeling hungry + thirsty like hell after all the walking. Not to mention, HOT, SWEATY AND IRRITATED. But just when I was about to make payment, I realized I didn't have my wallet with me.

DAMN I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT TO BRING MY WALLET OUT.

Feeling like crap, I walked back to the bus stop and just when i thought my day couldn't get any worse, I saw 39, the other bus that I could take, leaving right before my eyes.

It was one of the worse feelings in the world.

Feeling the Blues

I'm dressed in Blue from head2toe because..

I JUST WENT TO SEE CN BLUE!! :D

They're like oh-so-totally-AWESOME! (evidence of bimboness..)

Even though i didn't get to watch them perform OR get their autographs OR take pictures with them, i got really high just by watching them from the 4th floor (when they're on the 1st) and taking pictures of them signing autographs, shaking hands with fans and even HUGGING some! ENVIOUS MUCH!! I WANNA HUG MY YONGHWA JUNGSHIN JONGHYUN AND MINHYUK TOO! :(( My cheapo $68 ticket didn't allow me to do so :(( it was only for those who paid $168/$128 for their tickets, damn those rich people!

BUT ANYHOW, to add on to the AWESOMENESS, i'll be watching them perform tmr! AND IT'LL BE LEGEN-wait for it-DARY! :)))

Seriously, i can't afford to get distracted this semester. I won't allow myself to succumb to any temptations, just like last semester: I was busy watching YT videos during the last 2 weeks before finals when i was supposed to be studying, and also strictly NO LAST MINUTE CRAMMING, just like semester, where I only started revision 2 weeks before finals.

That's the tragic story of "This is why my CAP is so cui". True story.

I'll just have to keep reminding myself over and over again: 4 months and the torture is over.

Make S.E.N.S

Am listening to Forbidden Love and it's so beautiful..it's making me cry. It wins hands down, undoubtedly one of the best music pieces that I've listened to. But i can't forget To Zanarkand, Theme of Love and Kiss the Rain. They're simply..genius.

It's 230am right now and i'm supposed to be asleep because i've got work at 1045am but i'm too captivated by the song to go to sleep. I foresee several walking zombies stationed at samsung tmr.

Digressing..major achievement that i've accomplished: i just finished watching season 1 to 11 of ANTM within the span of the 3-month break. That explains the late nights that i've been having. I really enjoy watching antm..am in absolute love with some of the girls! I adore Analeigh Tipton from cycle 11..i mean she has such a sweet personality and takes great pictures! I don't understand why she didn't make it to the final 2 :(

There're like 10000 pictures of her that i'd like to share with you guys but i don't think i have the patience to upload all of them..omgg i'm soooo in love with her cus she's so pretttaayyy!!

School's starting in about 2 weeks' time and i'm not looking forward to it at all. Up till now, i still have no idea what modules am i supposed to bid for and whatsoever.

Yesterday i met up with the mse clique and while they were discussing about school stuff like IA (industrial attachment), SEP (student exchange program), minors, i felt so..inferior. I can't afford to be as ambitious as them because of my CAP, which is just average. My only concern right now is how to maintain my CAP, i'm not even aiming to pull it up.

I don't want to go through the same ordeal all over again..

Had a really great time with our 'goth' make up - yeah we were all goth wannabes for the day - and definitely enjoyed our crapping sessions. The idea of potluck kinda worked but we still had to order in pizza because there wasn't enough for 8 hungry girls. Wanted to stay longer but i had to go back early to pack! Sher, you know we love you!

Scent of a woman

Gained new experiences through meeting new people and catching up with the old. Had a really great time today with my nas girls with the usual shopping, gossiping, crapping and gaying! A few of us decided to catch Knight and Day with the guys, a very last min decision. Awesome show btw, go watch! :) Lastly, prata for supper, infused with indecent htht before heading home!

How i wish holidays would be longer..i haven't enjoyed myself fully yet! Only 1 more month left! :((

Take the lead

Am super zonked out after spending 2 consecutive days at Sentosa, first for engin camp and then union camp. Left camp early cus of CO practice and we played a new song "Por Una Cabeza" which sounded really amazing. Was a really fun song cus we got to play the melody :) no more boring Love Story, CO can't pull off Taylor Swift.

I'm flying off to Korea tmr and i haven't packed! =x

This blog needs some life! So i'm here to rejuvenate it through updates on my post exam life :)

Tioman trip 12-14 may

DAY ONE:

We had to reach Scotts rd at 630am so i had to wake up at an ungodly hour at 4am so that i could catch the first bus at 5+ and first train at 530. And sadly, what supposedly was a 7-person trip turned out to be a 6-person one because jason wasn't feeling well. Poor guy just threw his $200 away for nth!

After a dreadfully long journey of about 6 hrs (bus+ferry), we finally reached our destination!

To satisfy our severe hunger pangs, we had rambly burgers for lunch!

The iced milo was soooo much better than the burger!

They're happy people again :)

After changing and applying like 10 layers of sunblock, we hit the beach (haha sound sporty only)! Volleyballed and ultimate frisbeed!

The thing that i could do best was to throw the ball, lol.

Kayla had to hold the camera because my arms were too short. Ultimate sadness :(

Ice skating 16 may

Finally, a (partial) 210 outing after soooo long! Caught the movie, Last Song, followed by dinner at pastamania and then ice skating! It was my first time doing so and it was really difficult at the start but i slowly got used to it! I still need lotsa support though! =x

Sentosa 27 may

We both decided that we wanted to get tanned so here we are at Sentosa! We went on a weekday so yay it wasn't crowded :)

Besides the frisbee, we also entertained ourselves with this!

The day ended with us having a very late dinner at carl's jr! He's such a joke btw.

The next day, i worked at St Regis hotel for a one day event with evelyn, jasmine's friend. The hotel was at a very ulu place but its interior was surprisingly posh! No wonder they made us dress up like OLs! Anyway, the job was kinda fun, with us taking attendance of the guests and also giving out rice (mind u, it's ORGANIC) as the free gift.

On Sunday, a couple of us sent josh off to Australia for his 2 month long pilot training.

Ace of Base

Grew up listening to their songs, all thanks to my dad who listens to a huge range of music. Their songs are so distinctive and are really set apart from the rest. Today, i heard this song, Alejandro by Lady Gaga, and it sounded kinda similar to Don't Turn Around by Ace of Base. Well, i heard that she was inspired by their songs. Hmm.

Anyway. Welcome to my post-exam life.

Tuesday was MSE camp meeting in school, followed by shopping at Bugis and it resulted in bags and bags of loot which was pure torture to carry. Was super relieved to meet Wc after that as he relieved me of my bittersweet burden.

Caught Ip Man 2 at Vivo. To me, the fighting scenes were better than the first movie, however, i prefer the 'concept' behind for the first one as there was more 'meaning' (idk how else to put it) to it. Definitely more 'feel' for the first one. Somehow i felt that the Chinese hated the Japanese more (in the first movie) than the British (in the second one) as the first movie was more successful in bringing out the true Chinese's spirit. On the other hand, for the second movie, the 'hatred' felt was more due to the fact that the British boxer actually killed a man. I felt more for his pain than the humiliation that he was put through. Well, this is just my opinion. What do you think?

Wednesday was a stay-at-home-and-watch-videos-all-day-long day.

Thursday (today!) was a mini MSE cycling outing at Pasir Ris Park. Was donned in inappropriate attire and had 2 books with me (all because i thought the outing wasn't confirmed until i called kayla love so i was wearing my tuition attire). Got bitten by a zillion mozzies. Had a really fun spiderweb climb and CONGRATS to fiona for her huge accomplishment- she finally learned how to bike! Dinner at superdog with the bunch and i had my kickass delishhhh chili cheese fries! Those who didn't turn up really lost out on all the fun! :))

Anyway, i have no intention on finding a job right now because i think it'd be kinda hard for me to commit, what with all the camps, overseas trips and performance (yes i've decided to join the nasco alumni concert) planned. Well, the best that i'm hoping for is at least a part time job, which i'm planning to look for after the tioman trip next week. Woots! :))

Sunlight in your hair

It has been a torturous week. Quoting from someone random on fb, "it's like taking A levels every semester" AND I AGREE FULLY. Every semester contributes to your CAP which eventually determines what class of honors appear on your degree. That is what drives the pressure up by a million times fold and i'm cringing at the thought of that.

NONE of the papers went well for me. Seriously, none.

And i'm not exaggerating.

I was expecting to feel confident of least ONE paper. But sadly, nope. That feeling didn't come. Fate, being really cruel, decided to dash even that slight tinge of hope.

All i can do now is to enjoy the remaining month before judgment day on 31st may.

I prefer Kenny G to Lee Hom in this though, no offense but Kenny G's beautiful saxophone playing just owned it. Lee Hom is still oh-so-mesmerizing though..

a-Maze me.

Life is like an intricate maze. You spend most of the time meandering through various routes, in hope of finding your so-called 'way out'. But when a dead end is encountered, your confidence falls. Some might pick themselves up but some might just give up at the thought of going through the same torment all over again. Soon, more and more will drop out from the race. Even the strong ones fumble.

But think again. What exactly is it that is drawing everyone to getting to that particular goal? Is it the alluring reward that will be bestowed upon you? Is it the pressure that the environment is exerting on you? Or is it just to fulfill someone else's dream? Ask yourself: are you and will you be truly happy?

Good for you if your answer is yes. Otherwise, why not abandon the route that you're currently embarked on? Break free from the labyrinth and create another one. Who says there can only be one way out? Work towards your desired goal. Some might cast judgmental looks but some might be there to extend their support to you. Just like before, obstacles exist, in hope of making you fall. But think about how you'll reap your sweet rewards in the end, it could break your fall and make you stronger. Eventually, when you've attained what you wanted, you'll find yourself in a position much better than those who decided to go along with the default route, not materialistically but spiritually.

It takes courage to deviate from the norm's path, just like how i need courage (to face my group members) to be blogging now instead of doing my accounting project - i know there isn't any link.

But honestly, i don't have that kind of courage. So i'm in no position to convince others to pursue their own desired dream. But my point is, i really admire those who 'dare to dream'. That encompasses the risk that comes along with chasing their dream and also the disapproving comments from others, which are inevitable.

Right now, i'm leading the 'default' life that is 'planned' for me. I'm not entirely satisfied with it but i'm not entirely unhappy with it either, so i'm accepting it in a somewhat graceful approach. But life's short. Well, geography majors might refute by stating that 'life expectancy' has increased. Oh well, attempt to crack a joke failed majorly. You know i don't mean that literally. Anyway, by that, i was referring to life being short. There are many things that i've thought of but never did try because either i didn't have the courage to do so or i'm simply being skeptical of the oppositions that i'm going to face. I know that i'll definitely have regrets in the future but i'm too coward to face the risk and uncertainty that lie ahead lest i decide to choose a different path.

Maybe i should continue walking on this safe and designated path for the time being before giving myself a chance to explore areas outside of my comfort zone.

Trading Yesterday is no doubt one of my favourite bands. Their songs are so good that i can just listen to them non stop for the whole day. There was once when i had one song on repeat for like 6 hours straight and i didn't get the least bored. Their songs are mostly soft rock in a serene kinda way (but definitely not those that make you feel like sleeping) and sound nothing like those billboard hits that you heard on radio.

Guys if you're reading this, just listen to their songs. I'm sure you all will appreciate them just like how I do. Trust me.

Weichong turns 20 tmr and yesterday we had an advanced celebration at Timbre Art House. It was just a simple one-on-one date but nonetheless enjoyable. I made a really wise choice by making a reservation (2 weeks in advance- hey there is nth kiasu abt this, i'm simply planning ahead of time) because otherwise, we'd hafta queue for a really long time. Coincidentally, Shernwhey was there and he was one of the unfortunate many who had to queue up.

He is such a joke. Cracks me up all the time. :))

The Grasshopper. The cherry was the nicest part of the drink. Well, that says a lot. So i guess it'll probably be my first and last time drinking this.

We managed to get a really good table with a really good view of the band. Enigma was playing that night and the music was great, with classics like Yellow and also interesting picks such as Bad Romance, Nobody and Mama Mia. It was kind of fun singing along with some of the songs though i'm really bad with lyrics. Hey you can't blame me for being a Music person, instead of a Lyrics one.

The celebration at Timbre ended with us deciding not to continue hogging the table. I still have no idea why they gave us a table meant for 4.

Haven't made him a DIY gift for a loooong time so here it is! Everything was done from scratch (except the wooden frame) and i'm so proud of what i came up with. :) Well actually i prepared another present for him but it's too gay to be shown here. =x

Do you have to let it linger

Yesterday sure was an eventful day. Well, kinda. I mean, compared to a typical day revolved around mugging, it sure was.

Traveled 1.5hrs to school to attend a 45 min tutorial which i attended alone. All thanks to kayla and finian who both woke up late. Met them at cityhall (they were happily having breakfast at starbucks -.-) and made our way to the IT fair at suntec. Wasn't tt crowded for a Friday afternoon. Finian, being really efficient, grabbed his queue no the moment we reached the Singtel section. Kayla and I roamed about, exploring new phones, while Finian was getting his BB. Sadly, no phone caught my eye. Except for iPhone, that is. The best deal for me was $518 for the 16GB phone with the $39 iFlexi Plan. It's kinda pricey so i've gotta get my papa's consent first. Low chance though. :/

After the IT fair, while we were on our way to cine for our movie, something bad happened.

I LOST MY EZLINK CARD!! :(((((((

And so i had to call up SBS to terminate my card cus it's kinda linked to my papa's giro account and i'd get killed by him if someone misuses it.

Set off to cineleisure with a heavy heart (have to pay $$$ to apply for a new card!!) and lunched at Pastamania (didn't know about the 30% discount for students from 2-5pm). Caught "Up in the air' (nominated for Oscars for best picture so must watch). According to kayla, it was a "depressing show" for her. My brother strongly recommended it but i just thought it was NOT BAD. Maybe i just didn't get it.

Headed back to school (lots of travelling today huh!) because me and kayla had an interview for Engin camp at 7pm. Haha at least if i didn't get into union camp, hopefully i can get into this camp! Made our way to UCC for Anna's dance concert. Overall, it was okay just that it was a little too 'abstract' for me! It was too 'artsy' for me to understand. But the last item had an impact on me, in an eerie way, because the music was really spooky! Man, it gave me chills! It was like a scene straight from a horror film! Clearly i'm not bestowed with the gift of being able to appreciate such abstract stuff.

Waited for anna after the concert so that we could give her the pretty sunflower that we bought. Really pretty! :)

Reached home close to 12 and i was really tired but somehow i managed to find the energy to sit infront of the comp and start watching Cruel Temptation (a super addictive drama!!). Watched 4 hrs worth of show before forcing myself to go to bed because the plot was getting more exciting with each episode!

(Don't read the below paragraph if u dun watch AI. It'll just be a waste of ur time.)

Anyway I just watched AI's result show (which i missed because of anna's concert) and I'M SO PISSED OFF WITH THE RESULTS! ALEX LAMBERT AND LILLY SCOTT (ESPECIALLY HER) DUN DESERVE TO GET VOTED OUT! Alex has such a genuine and sincere voice while Lilly's simply unique! C'mon there are so many contestants who are not worthy enough to be in the top 12! What on earth are the Americans thinking?!! I once had high hopes for Andrew Garcia because of his kickass version of Paula's 'Straight Up' during the hollywood auditions but since then, his standard has been dropping.

Sing to me on a cloudy day

Am contemplating whether to go to the gym later. For the past 2 weeks, i gave up my gym sessions to concentrate on my mid terms and for some reason, i lost 2 kg! I was trying so hard to lose weight through gymming but to no avail. But when i gave it up (just for 2 weeks), WHAM, i lost weight! Well, i reckon it might be due to the loss of muscle mass or stress overload. Or a combination of both.

But still. Should i try going gym-free for 2 months and see if i'll continue losing weight?

Back to Nicole. On one fine Saturday or Sunday afternoon, I sat down in front of my laptop and finished watching the entire cycle 13 when i was supposed to be doing my tutorials. Am i imba or what? Anyway the winner, Nicole, is somewhat socially awkward but when she's on set at a photoshoot, it's as if she's a totally different person! I mean, BOY, SHE CAN REALLY POSE!

The beauty and the tragedy

I just survived the first 2 weeks of school.

Well, by right i have a 8-9am lecture tmr but i'm just gonna pretend that it doesn't exist for now. So for me, today's the last day of school for the week.

It has been 2 weeks and i'm still at the stage of reading and understanding my lecture notes. It sucks trying to follow the lectures when half the time you don't get what the lecturers are saying (ie. their accents) and the other half, you're falling asleep. Tutorials start next week and i have to complete my tutorials by then but it seems somewhat impossible because i haven't even fully understood my notes.

Plus for my gem module, i have a 20 pg key reading every week. And that's excluding several other supplementary and optional readings. Sounds wonderful, doesn't it? But at least i find its lectures interesting as compared to my other modules. And that's about the only good thing about this module.

And it's almost impossible not to feel the stress when some of my coursemates have already starting hardcore mugging even before tutorials start! Can someone PLEASE tell me where they got their motivation from?

Anyway i'm finally going to the dentist tmr after putting it off for about 2 years. Haha. Can't wait to hear what the dentist has got to say about my 'perfect' set of teeth.

Finally executed our plan of having a girls-only chalet that we've talked about for so long but never actually planned! And so on one fine wednesday school night (when most of us had school the next day), the very 'wise' us settled on a cheap kampung hut at sentosa. AND BOY DID WE HAD FUN. MAJOR FUN! But not cheap drunk fun. We had our limits :D Well, sort of!

Prada Outing @ Sentosa ( yes, sentosa AGAIN)

After soooooo long, Prada had its 2nd official outing! An unconventional sentosa outing of the girls playing Saboteur (mad fun card game) and Jenga (which jamie had to kiss zhaowei as a forfeit) and the guys playing soccer, followed by dinner at Fishermen Wharf @ Clarke Quay. Can't wait for the next outing during CNY at Rachel's place! :)

Went cycling as a last resort bcus cy was sick of singing and ice-skating. Ended up getting sunburned really badly bcus we didn't apply enough sunblock! :( Wanted to lunch at this korean restaurant at katong but it was 15 mins to their closing time so we settled for Ajisen @ Parkway! Love my beef ramen! :D

Today was a bad start to a new semester.

Firstly, i didn't understand a single shit about financial accounting (KYLIE DEAR I'LL NEED UR HELP BADLY FOR THIS MODULE) because it feels like econs to me and my econs is totally CMI one lor. Dammit i got a freaking C+ for it! Who on earth gets C+ for econs when both the mid term test and final exam are MCQ-based?! Dun tell me i've got no econs bgrd cus there are PLENTY others who did well despite not having studied econs before!

Alright. Calm down. And. Breathe.

Secondly, i dozed off halfway through math lecture despite the fact that the angmoh lecturer was pretty entertaining.

Lastly, i hate my timetable.

On a side note, my sunburned skin is finally peeling and it looks (and feels) goddamn awful!

Alright it's midnight now so time to sleep because there's a 8am lecture tmr.

A string of pearls behind your hair

Yet another year has passed. Cliche as it may sound, GOODBYE 2009, WELCOME 2010. Well, 2009 has been a wonderful year, easily the best out of my 19 years.

What have been:

• The receiving of A levels results, one of the proudest moments in my life.

• Working for the first time, in which i gained pretty much experience.

• Traveling overseas with my close friends, in which we forged even closer bonds.

• 2 years with Wc and counting.

• Making new friends in university, whom i hope will get closer for the next few years.

• NZ trip with family which was great but, sadly, might be one of our last few trips since my dad's considering retirement soon.

What will be:

• STUDY HARDER and get a better CAP score.

My current CAP is horrible (as in terribly and disgustingly horrible) because I didn't put in enough effort, which i admit was partly due to complacency. Furthermore, i might be taking 6 instead of 5 modules this semester, which requires even more effort to be put in.

• LESS SHOPPING and more saving

The money in my account is decreasing at an exponential rate, without any form of input (i've decided to stop giving tuition for the time being because of my freaking damned timetable which allows almost no room for any other activity). So. I NEED TO SAVE!

• SPEND MORE TIME WITH FAMILY

Been pretty much choosing friends over family. Mustn't neglect the importance of kinship.

• STAY FIT and lose weight

This resolution has been here for godknowshowlong.

Exercise at least twice a week. Keep junk food to a minimal. Eat only when i'm hungry and not just because i feel like it. YES I NEED TO SLIM DOWN BADLY. Those chipmunk cheeks, bye-bye arms, love handles, thunder thighs and wobbly calves gotta go!

Please let 2010 be even more fabulous.

Ghost of Christmas Present

A tourist offered to take this picture for us, probably after seeing us trying really hard to take a picture on our own. How sweet :))

After exploring the area (and entertaining ourselves with the bungee jumpers and the turkish ice cream man), we decided to dine at Hooters. We got a high-stooled riverside table as we thought it'd be more romantic (but our legs were aching after some time. Lol. So much for the romance). Their prices were reasonable, as compared to the other restaurants. Also, they had really large servings.

My soursop juice which was disappointing so i ended up drinking most of wc's orange juice.

My cajun half chicken which i gave half of it to wc.

Wc's sambal sole fillet which was surprisingly delicious! He told me that sambal itself isn't spicy, it's the chili that makes it spicy.

After our satisfying meal (which took a really long time to finish), we headed to Yello Jello for a drink (partly due to a band playing there). I wanted to order the drink that i had the previous time when i came with the girls but i decided to try sth different so i went with a frozen margarita while wc ordered this horribly-bitter liqueur. But my margarita was disappointing cus i didn't like its taste. :((

As for presents, i got him an all blacks shirt from NZ while he got me this really cute doraemon clock (which i haven't taken a pic of it yet) which has a really interesting alarm system. The propeller on its head will fly off when the incredibly loud and screeching alarm sounds. He told me that this is to make sure i won't ever oversleep again. Wah lao eh!

Also, just to be on the safe side (or being plain superstitious), i paid him a dollar.

The night before Christmas

On xmas eve, a few hours after my plane landed, i joined the girls for a mini xmas gathering (there were only 4 of us). We decided to "break tradition" so this year's celebration was slightly different from the past few years (of overnight tenting @ ECP).

So, we headed to CHIJMES, which was our first time there tgt.

Headed to Harry's and ordered drinks like 4 suagus again cus we took damn long to decide. haha.

Under the moonlight shadow

Saddening. My somewhat intensive gym sessions have made my legs somewhat muscular, instead of toned, like what i wanted.

How i wish i could chop off all the long + slim + toned + scar-free pair of legs that i see on any living female. Such perfectionism is too much for me to take.

And i think flip flops are the best footwear invented. If only i can wear them with any outfit and not get criticized and labeled as a fashion disaster.

EXAMS ARE OVERRRRR!!

Am going study-free for one month! :D

Watched 2012 with some of the MSE ppl aft math paper on wed. and lol. me and kayla were screaming throughout the movie =x and zy insisted tt we were the only ones doing so in the entire cinema.

Random picture of the caesar chicken salad tt i had for lunch at swensen's before the movie. Though u couldn't really tell frm this pic, the bowl was really huge. same w the fork and spoon! it was like a baby using her mummy's spoon. Lol.

Yesterday, i satisfied my sakae sushi craving w wc! Lol i ate like a pig la. And lol he's a huge fan of their fried tofu cus he ordered like 5 servings for himself.

It all seem so bleak right now.

2 down (PC1431 was especially excruciating), 3 more to go.

My first semester in U is ending in 3 more days, or rather, in 3 more papers' time. This time, I really screwed up. Never in my life have I felt so demoralized. But I admit I didn't put in enough effort and I'm regretting it.

Pinning all hope (provided there's still any left) on the last 3 papers.

Caught my sister's keeper last night (finally!!)
and it was so good!
Maybe except for the fact that
they did not base the ending on the book.
Might be a little disappointing
for those who have alr read the book.
But overall, it's still a film worth watching!
